TROY, Mich., May 22, 2018 –IPS Technology Services recently won a project with a local physician’s office to help implement a comprehensive Electronic Health Records (EHR) system and to provide the necessary training and consulting to the staff to ensure a successful transition.
As with most physicians whose practice has spanned a few decades, the client is in need of a complete transition from paper-based patient records to an EHR system. IPS Technology Services will manage the installation of an electronic health records software program in the client’s office, as well as convert all of the paper files into digital format. By switching to an EHR format, the client will be able to better track patient records, reduce paper waste, limit the space needed to house physical records, and will be able to better protect patients’ confidentiality.
In addition to the establishment of an EHR system, IPS Technology Services will also set up practice management software to assist the client in scheduling appointments, maintaining a list of insurance companies, performing billing tasks and generating required reports. IPS Technology Services will also address the client’s Revenue Cycle Management, to ensure that the office is receiving payments for all services rendered in a timely manner.
Finally, IPS Technology Services will provide consulting to the client for both Meaningful Use and Accountable Care Organization (ACO). Meaningful Use will allow the office to utilize EHR improve patient care coordination, to reduce health disparities, and to engage patients and their families. ACO or Accountable Care Organization aims to provide well-coordinated, patient-centered healthcare with the goal of achieving improved health, improved patient experiences and lower costs.
